I've been living the Paleo lifestyle for almost two weeks now.
No sugar, except in fruits.
I'm drinking almond milk instead of cow milk.
I went to the grocery store and shopped mainly in the produce section and the meat section. I made a short stop at the aisle with maple syrup and honey. Did you all know real maple syrup costs $22.00 for a little jug? Shocker. I didn't buy it, but I did buy a small jar of honey.
Day two and three I felt nauseous and contacted a Paleo expert. She suggested it was the toxins leaving my body and adjusting to the healthier food I was eating. A few days later I did feel better.
Here's a yummy salad I ate while out of town at a tennis match.
I've discovered eating out isn't as hard as I imagined it would be.
Positive conversations with old and new friends. I'd love for you to join me on my back porch.

We did Paleo for a little while too. I agree, I did feel nauseous for a bit, but it did pass. I'm not full on Paleo anymore, but I am trying to lower the amount of gluten and carbs, etc...up our fruits, proteins and veggies. It really does make you feel better!
ReplyDeleteHi Susan,
ReplyDeleteNow that I'm past the nauseous stage, I am starting to feel a little more energetic.
I'm glad I'm not the only one with weighty problems. Three and four years ago I could not fit into my one pair of jeans I've had since the 80s. One and two winters ago, I got into them, but they felt better unzipped (if you're not zipping up, make sure your shirt is long). This past winter, they fit beautifully. Hooray! Until a couple months ago. I thought it was the valentine and Easter candy that's been on sale and so tempting. All that is gone now, but the jeans are still too snug.
