It finally happened. We sold our house. In September we spent days then weeks considering a job offer for Tim. In the end, we felt God leading to us a new adventure. Everything happened so fast, and God was clear in His signs. So, we expected our house to sell fast.
Tim started his new job on November 14. We bought a house in SC, because we knew ours would sell soon. It didn't.
Somebody once told me when we ask God a question about timing He can answer one of three ways. Yes. Not yet. My timing is better.
Many times I reminded myself that God's timing is perfect. I believed He'd move me at the best time.
Isaiah 40:31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint...
During our months apart, Tim has spent hours at his new place of employment. He's gotten to know the residents and staff and he's been learning the way the new place works.
Lamentations 3:25-26 The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord
During our months apart, I studied for the South Carolina law exam. I prayed as I studied, and I prayed during the exam, and I passed.
We each faced trials while apart, and we learned to lean on God in different ways.
God has his own sense of timing: ‘With the Lord one day is as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day’ (2 Peter 3:8, AMP).
I think our love and appreciation for each other has grown. And in a couple of weeks, when we are both under the same roof, we are going to thank God together as we start our new phase of life.
I'm going to take a couple of weeks off from writing my blog. I need to finish packing the house for our move and then to get settled. But I will be back. Until then, take care and remember, God's timing is perfect.
Positive conversations with old and new friends. I'd love for you to join me on my back porch.

Something About a Bridge
There's something about seeing a wooden bridge that makes me want to walk across and see where it takes me.
I spotted this bridge at Huntington Beach State Park in South Carolina. I left the beach one windy, and I mean really windy, day.
I crossed this bridge and followed a trail to the campground. There were big and little campers and tents. I'm not really into camping, but it seemed like everybody was having fun.
The next time you spot a bridge, think about crossing over and see what you discover. Have a great week!

Feel Good Super Bowl 2017 Stories
I'm writing this before the Super Bowl starts. This is the time where people are excited and hopeful for a win.
One of the pre-game stories that touched me was when a little boy asked Tom Brady at a press conference who is hero was. A choked-up Tom Brady replied that his dad was his hero.
Luke Bryan is singing the National Anthem this year. The sad thing is, people are placing bets on everything from will he wear a hat to will he forget some of the words.
How much will it cost to go to the Super Bowl? My research showed the average ticket price was $6250.00. For most of us that's a once in a lifetime experience, so maybe it's a bargain.
Here are a couple of other fun facts:
The Super Bowl Trophy is made by Tiffany’s and Co. and costs $25,000.
72 balls are used during the game.
Who's cheering for who? Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Chris Evans, and President Trump seem to be cheering for the Patriots.
Samuel L. Jackson, President Carter and Zac Brown of the Zac Brown Band are cheering for the Falcons. (Luke Bryan is a Georgia boy, so I wonder if he's hoping for a win by the Falcons?)
Whether you're going to the game, watching it on TV, or going to a party, have fun! I'm sure it'll be a great game.
