I like flags and I love being a citizen of the United States of America.
Today I wanted to share with you a picture I have in my kitchen.
This painting was painted by Childe Hassam in 1917. When I looked him up I noticed he was born before the Civil War, lived through World War I, and died after the depression hit. I imagine he witnessed a lot of sadness in his life.
This painting has sad undertones, but I also see glimmers of hope shining through the rain.
Romans 5:5 "Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us."
I hope you have a great week.
Positive conversations with old and new friends. I'd love for you to join me on my back porch.
