J is for Jehovah-Jireh
Jehovah-Jirah means The Lord will provide.
In Genesis when Abraham is about to sacrifice his son Isaac, God stops him at the last moment and provides a ram to be sacrificed.
Abraham refers to God as seeing his need.
"So Abraham called that place The LORD Will Provide. And to this day it is said, "On the mountain of the LORD it will be provided."
Genesis 22:14 NIV
God has provided many things in my life that I consider a blessing. Sometimes He has waited until the last possible moment, probably to test my faith, but He does provide for me in ways I never dreamed possible.
What about you? Are you aware of the ways God provides for you everyday?

ReplyDeleteYes!! He has provided for us in so many ways. Big things and little things. I'm so thankful!!
ReplyDeleteThis week I was looking at this moment in Abraham's and Isaac's life, too. :) I love it. :)
Great reminder, Jackie. Just what I needed to be reminded of today.
ReplyDeleteI love this name of God, Jackie, and yes, yes I do. I often say (and deeply believe) any day I'm still breathing is a good day. Hugs to you.
